KYF Joins Hands in Tree Sowing and Growing for a Greener Future

Kenya Youth Federation (KYF) remains at the forefront of environmental conservation and youth-led climate action. As part of our commitment to sustainable development, KYF joined the 2nd Sowing Launch at Chandaria Tree Nursery and participated in a tree-growing action at Alliance Girls High School, Nairobi. This initiative, in collaboration with Global Peace Foundation, Mama Doing Good Foundation, KCB, Green Africa, and other stakeholders, was a major step towards achieving Kenya’s goal of 30% national forest cover.

The event kicked off with seed sowing at the school nursery, a learning experience that directly contributes to KYF’s mission of launching 47 tree nurseries across the country. This project is set to empower communities through environmental awareness, reforestation, and long-term ecological sustainability.

Through a collective effort, over 1,500 assorted tree seedlings were planted within the school grounds, symbolizing hope, resilience, and a shared vision for a greener Kenya. KYF remains committed to youth-led climate action, community-driven conservation efforts, and sustainable environmental solutions.

As we continue expanding our green initiatives, we call upon all Kenyan youth, organizations, and stakeholders to join us in making a lasting impact. The future of our environment depends on the actions we take today.

Together, let’s grow a greener, healthier Kenya!
