Nairobi, Kenya
Kenya Youth Federation (KYF) is pleased to announce that it is in the final stages of establishing a strategic partnership with Enabling Leadership, a significant step towards advancing leadership development among children across Kenya.
The milestone follows a high-level strategic meeting between Enabling Leadership’s Chief Impact Officer, Soujanya Jandhyala, and Country Head-Kenya, Paramita Mukherjee, and Kenya Youth Federation National Governing Council, led by The National Chairperson George O. Amboka and The Secretary General Lenox Onyango. The meeting focused on assessing KYF’s institutional capacity, discussing the proposed partnership framework, and aligning on a shared vision for delivering transformative leadership programmes for children across Kenya.
Once formalized, the Enabling Leadership Programme will become one of KYF’s flagship national programmes, targeting children aged 8 to 16 years through an innovative leadership development model that integrates sports, music, and life skills to nurture confidence, teamwork, communication, resilience, and responsible decision-making.
The programme is designed to unlock the potential of every child by creating engaging learning experiences that inspire leadership both inside and outside the classroom. By integrating leadership education into practical and enjoyable activities, children will develop the skills needed to become responsible citizens and future leaders of their communities.
The programme is expected to be rolled out in partnership with schools and local communities across Kenya, with public primary schools among the primary beneficiaries during the initial phase of implementation. Thousands of children are expected to benefit as the programme expands across the country.
Speaking on the forthcoming partnership, George O. Amboka, The National Chairperson of Kenya Youth Federation, said:
“Every child has the potential to lead when given the right opportunity. Our engagement with Enabling Leadership reflects a shared vision of empowering young people with the confidence, values, and leadership skills they need to shape a better future for themselves, their communities, and our nation.”
The collaboration reflects KYF’s continued commitment to working with local and international partners to deliver innovative, sustainable, and impactful programmes that respond to the needs of young people at every stage of their development.
As preparations for the partnership signing and programme rollout gather momentum, Kenya Youth Federation and Enabling Leadership are working closely to finalize the implementation framework. Upon formalization, the programme is expected to usher in a new era of leadership development for children across Kenya, equipping thousands of young learners with the skills, confidence, and values needed to become tomorrow’s leaders.
