Chelah Kipkorir

Chelagat Kipkorir is a bold Kenyan woman with blindness caused by Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) diagnosed in 2015. Receiving her RP diagnosis was overwhelming but over time she chose purpose over fear, embracing her journey and finding strength in her voice.In the last decade, she has refused to live within the confines of societal stereotypes of people living with RP. Instead, she redefined her identity, built resilience, and discovered her passion for advocacy, creativity, and adventure. She has led dynamic initiatives under The Blind Talk series across leading universities in Kenya amplifying voices of the blind youth, and fostering honest conversations around identity, relationships, and mental health.
